At the request of the agricultural sector, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Minister of State, Claude Haagen, Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development and Joëlle Welfring, Minister for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development invited representatives of the agricultural, viticultural and horticultural professions to the "Agrarsommet" on 26 January 2023 at the Château de Senningen.

"Antigaspi" awareness campaign: eight golden rules for wasting less food
In the Grand Duchy, households are responsible for 75% of the amount of food thrown away in the garbage. To encourage the general public to waste less, particularly during the end-of-year celebrations, the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development is relaunching an awareness campaign from 13 December 2022.

Antibiotic Awareness Days: "Antibiotics, handle them with care, let's preserve their effectiveness"
Every year on 18 November, the European Antibiotic Awareness Day takes place, as well as World Antimicrobial Awareness Week from 18 to 24 November. These days are an opportunity to better inform the general public, healthcare professionals and animal owners about the ever-increasing risks associated with the inappropriate use of antibiotics.

Verlängerung der vorübergehenden Senkung des Verkaufspreises für Agrardiesel
Aufgrund des außergewöhnlichen Anstiegs der Preise für Erdölprodukte infolge der internationalen Lage beschloss die Regierung, unter anderem, eine vorübergehende Senkung des Preises für Dieselkraftstoff, der ausschließlich für Arbeiten in Landwirtschaft und Gartenbau, in der Fischzucht und Forstwirtschaft genutzt wird, um 7,5 ct/l inkl. Steuern einzuführen.
